Melissa Johnson is a professional genealogist specializing in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and British research, as well as family history writing and publishing.  Since 2008, she has served as Reviews Editor for the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly (APGQ).  Melissa is also a Trustee of the Genealogical Society of New Jersey as well as the Society’s Program Chair and Editor of the Genealogical Society of New Jersey Newsletter. She recently worked as a researcher for Dutch public broadcast network KRO’s popular show Spoorloos, which helps people reunite with long-lost relatives. Melissa holds a particular interest in military cemetery preservation and digitization projects, and has over 15 years of genealogical research experience.

She holds memberships with the Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogical Society, the Genealogical Society of New Jersey, New England Historic Genealogical Society, New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, Genealogical Speakers Guild, International Society of Family History Writers and Editors, Monmouth County Genealogy Society and Central Jersey Genealogical Club.
